Trip to Gransha Woods

Today we visited Gransha Woods and spent the entire morning embracing all the woodland has on our doorstep. The children took part in lots of activities ranging from a scavenger hunt in which they were tasked with tree/leaf identification and even spotted some grey squirrels as they ran around the trees above them!! Once again we had the support of our wonderful parents who came with us on our trip and the children certainly enjoyed the morning outdoors which also enhanced their own knowledge of woodland creatures and the variety of trees and plants growing there! We have now completed all activities on our journey to receive The Gold Award now as part of our involvement in The NI Woodland Trust schools award!
