The children enjoyed a fun‑filled and meaningful day as they proudly wore red to celebrate Go Red for Ryan, while also recognising the wonderful support they have received this year from the Maiden City Soccer coaches. Throughout the day, the children took part in football and movement activities that promoted confidence, cooperation, and physical development, clearly linking with the Northern Ireland Preschool Curriculum areas of Physical Development and Movement, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, and The Arts. These experiences encouraged active learning, turn‑taking, and positive relationships, while helping children develop coordination and resilience through play. Parents were warmly invited into the school to join the children outdoors, playing football and participating in sport’s‑day‑style skills activities, strengthening home‑school links and modelling the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle. The day ended on a high note with a very special treat, as the much‑anticipated ice‑cream van arrived, providing a joyful and memorable conclusion for children, families, and staff alike.
