Celebrating Our Climate‑Ready Classroom Award Achievement May 2026 - The Weatherbies visited our school today to help us celebrate receiving this fantastic award. They were delighted to see all the wonderful eco‑work happening in Nursery and how we use their characters to help our children learn about climate change from such a young age. Their visit recognised the creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment shown by our pupils as they explore weather, sustainability, and caring for our world.

'Big Garden Birdwatch' - 28-30 January 2022

Today the children participated in the Big Garden Birdwatch in association with The RSPB which takes place this weekend! We linked our Outdoor Learning day with our First Shared Education session this year! Virtually we were able to link up with our Pre-school partners in Cockhill, Buncrana and Stepping Stones Playgroup in St. Johnston. 

The children participated in lots of fun-filled activities including making bird feeders, bird nests, re-creating birds using feathers/collage materials/pieces. Our Scavenger hunt was most popular among our little ones as they used binoculars to spot pictures of birds hidden around the playground and those flying around our beautiful bespoke nursery garden! The photo's of today tell the story of a beautiful experience had by all this morning! We are super proud of our little Eco-warriors who have gone home today with an awareness of wildlife in the grounds of their little Nursery School!
